Hey guys,I have an NTSC-J PS3, and I was wondering if there was any way too unlock the PS2/PS region so I could play Pal PS2/PS games?? I dont want to mod the PS3, but some sort of firmware for it?

Sep 30, 2007 · It's not illegal to hack your PS3, whether that means you want modify the exterior or whether you want to push it in directions that the developers didn't intend and that could even mean running programs not officially endorsed by Sony Corporation (even changing the region code). sorry to tell u all, but aussie ps3 can play some region 1 dvd's, i only have 6 but 3 of them work. Despite having the packaging say R1 they can sometimes be RPC-1 (or region free) – just labelled incorrectly. Check them on a PC with dvdinfo or whatever that program was called. The PS3 is a pain when it comes to DVD region locking.
